[September 3rd 2010 06:57:28 PM] During the course of our day, we answer many questions through both the mama creepy.com and our eBay store websites about spiritual path working, spell writing, how to best use a product, or what tool to use for a certain situation. For us, the process of learning is never - ending......sometimes, we will be asked a question that we don't know the answer to, or be asked a question that we just arena't sure how to answer. Normally, we will go to our own extensive library or a particular website to find the answer, or ask someone in our own network for assistance. For help in answering one of those type questions this week, we did something a little different. We reached out to our Face book community, and asked them for their thoughts! The question seemed so simple, but when we thought about it, the answers were endless. The question came from someone unfamiliar with our practices, who was simply curious about some of our products. The question? "What is the difference between white Wicca and black magic, and what makes it all pagan?" We received a lot of thoughtful commentary from our nearly 2,000 strong Face book community, but one answer really resonated with us. The writer, High Priestess Willow Morgan, of the Covenant of the Midnight Sun, was willing to let us share it. Thank you, Lady Willow, and to everyone else who chimed in with such great opinions and answers! From Lady Willow~ Pagan is a term that means country dweller, and presently is universalized to incorporate a variety of less common religions (in a matter of speaking) such as witches, vicunas, druids, Noe-pagans, fairy magic, shamanism, among others, but someone practicing one of these faiths may not think of themselves as pagan or similar to another group. I like to think of paganism as having the wisdom of truth, in which people are spiritually connected to a greater power because of knowledge and experience. Pagans may worship the earth, the elements, God and/or Goddess, many gods/goddesses, the sky and the stars, whatever they connect too and find truth in. In truth Magi ck is neither black nor white because by the laws of even science it has to be both because nature is both. Magi ck is completed through intent...if our intentions are ill-willed then so is are Magi ck and that intention results in the return of the that energy...threefold. So if our intent then it is likely that are Magi ck will be good, but with all things...sometimes are intention are misguided. Magi ck needs no light or dark, it is energy manifest from our ability to Know, to Will, to Dare, and to Keep Silent! For me, I am witch, not a Wicca. I am this because I worship one God and one Goddess, although I share similar practices with Vicunas. We do not practice everything in the same matter. I will call my self Pagan, mainly because it is easier for simple minded people to understand better than dropping the W-word! I strive for my Magi ck to be pure and of good intent, but I never purposely use negative or dark magi ck to hurt others or myself. This practice would not comply with my belief structure, knowledge, or experience. I am a highly spiritual person who seeks to respect all religions. I believe that true pagans understand that all faiths have truth and try to avoid ignorance and support understanding. Well that is what it should mean at least. Not only do they make you buy your own food (no more peanuts even) and pay for your second luggage; but on my last flight on American airline I was freezing because of the AC, so I asked for a blanket. The flight attendant told me that I had to buy a blanket now and that they're no longer free. Pay for a blanket? Dang... now that's crazy talk.
